Personal Care Aide
If you are interested in a truly rewarding job while making a difference for the better in someone else's life, you may be interested in becoming a Personal Care Aide (PCA). If you get along well with people and like to do great things this may be the perfect position for you. Become a Personal Care Aide and start making a difference in someone's life while you learn valuable life and health care skills.
A Personal Care Aide provides patients with assistance in their daily essential responsibilities. They also may be required to help operate certain medical equipment to allow for the patient to be more mobile and agile.
If you are interested in becoming a Personal Care Aide, we offer free training in select counties. The training course will provide you with the skills and knowledge on how to provide the best possible care to your clients.
Although the training will provide you with knowledge on how to best assist each client / patient, there are some skills that you will have to provide yourself. Such things include a level of sensitivity and compassion to allow your clients to feel most comfortable with you assisting them withe their basic necessities and responsibilities. Certified home health aides check important signs under given circumstances, track a patient’s symptoms, and deliver personal care including bathing/dressing. In some instances they shop for and prepare meals as prescribed by a dietician, and assist with household chores such as laundry. Home care aides assist people who need special care such as persons with disabilities, the elderly, chronically ill individuals, and convalescents at care facilities or their homes.
Home Health Aide
All our home health aides are professionals that have undergone comprehensive training, and are carefully screened by our HR. We ensure our home attendants and home health guides are guided by the patient’s home health care nurse, and only assign an aide with skills and abilities to match the patient’s needs. We have multilingual aides to ensure clients’ are addressed in a language they communicate most comfortably.
Nurses RNs and LPNs
The difference between RNs and LPNs is that LPNs earn a practical degree while RNs earn a professional degree. A professional nursing degree takes more time to complete compared to a practical nursing degree because it consists of more courses. However, both a LPN and RN must take and pass the NXLEX exam they can officially practice. In summary form, the difference between the two is the degree earned.
